I was just wondering because so many people are doing without a home landline phone now. Does this put someone at a higher risk of someone breaking in? Does anyone have statistics on this?

I can't imagine it's any different. A professional thief would cut the phone lines before entering the home anyway. If you only have a cell phone and would reach for that first, it may save you valuable seconds.

I'll be reaching for my gun, not a phone, so I'm not really worried either way.

You would have assume that people with home phone lines are less likely to be robbed than those with cell phones. I don't think the type of phone service a person has has any influence on the likelihood of being robbed!

I only have a cell phone and sometimes it dies and I think what if someone tired to kill me and I couldn't call the police to save me. I worry about it but mostly because a girl was killed just down the rode from me and they never found who did it and all of her doors where locked from the inside.

, The only thing that I know is that, It takes the operator a long time to know were you are since the cell phone doesn't show them were you are calling from. And, in a situation were you can't talk, it might even be worse.

Yes they are. We all know that in today's world this happens very often. There is a direct correlation between these factors relating to robberies and break ins. Do you like chocolate milk or white milk?
