I know three attractive girls in their 30s with successful careers that got married after getting pregnant from "elegible bachelors" with whom they were not necessarily involved in long term relationships. Is this a trend or a coincidence?

Nope - don't do it, years later things will end badly, always does.

After 6 month of dating, ask the question, Where is this going?

If the answer is not the right one. Good bye, next.

Any women who gets pregnant to catch a man is dumb. Because the child is the one who is going to suffer from this all in the long run. These relationships don't last long and everyone gets hurt in the long run. It's a stupid trend, I see young teenage girls do this also, they think this guy is going to be there for them forever and guess what your stuck with a baby, and they are gone. It's dumb, I don't know why young girls and grown women do this and the sad part is the kids, the kids are not taken care of they are a pawn in a sick twisted game.

That would be the biggest mistakes you could ever make! And in the long run the only one that really would be hurting, is the child. Even if the marriage is good in the beginning (which is very rare, but have hear of it happening) there is more of a chance of it ending in divorce. Be patient, and the right one will come around, and then and only then should there be thought of a child.

It seems to be the trend, but you also see that Divorce is also not far behind.

Honestly, every married couple needs AT LEAST a year without getting PG.

DOES ANYONE EVER THINK ABOUT THE KIDS ? How unfair are people to have a little child to bring up and they only brought them into this world to MAYBE hook the guy. SELFISH SELFISH ADULTS

If women get PG to get a man they deserve whatever is coming to them. It's really really STUPID.

Girls often times think that is the only way to get a man to marry them. Unfortunately though, it's a love-less marriage, that ends before the year is out, then you have another statistic of divorce and a bastard child, no one really ever wanted in the first place.

No that's not a good way to get a man because eventually he will leave you if he doesn't fall in love with you. When a man marries under pressure, he will make you life a living hell. Sometimes in our 30s we make bad choices but because society dictates that you will be better off with a man. But there comes a time when reality hits you and sometimes you are better off without them.

Coincidence... if there relationship isnt based on love and trust than what they have wont last at all. Havin a kid is alot of responsibility... and if the guy doesnt stay with you.. your stuck with all that on your shoulders... then what!?! Wait for the right guy, and dont make plans to have kids with him until you know that hes the one, that will stick by you no matter what!

Absolutely not!.sounds like a trend. That's sad though no one should be manipulated into a relationship. If they did purposely become pregnant in order to marry these men their relationship is doomed.

Getting pregnant nowadays is NOT a good way of getting a man. It is totally coincidence. Those men probably loved or liked those women anyways.

I have a wonderful and adorable husband. He always wanted to be a father. In the begining of the relationship I told him I was unable to have children because of my medical condition. But guess what? He loves me enough to spend the rest of his life with even though I cannot have biological kids.

Some people from the ones you have described sounds like they feel like "They NEED a man in their life". People need to figure out what they want and need in a serious relationship and not settle for second best.

It's a coincedence and it most likely won't last. Pregnancies and kids usually ADD stress to the marriage so expect troubles ahead. The only way to get a man is to have one fall in love with you and want to be with you. There's nothing you can do to make it happen - it just does.
