3n +8 =56
3n = 56 - 8
3n = 48
n = 48/3 = 16
_____________________________________________________
6n - 7 = 3
6n = 3 +7 = 10
n = 10/6 =5/3 = 1.666 (recurring)

Question not stated clearly.
_____________________________________________________
30/100 of n = 30
(30/100) X n = 30
0.3n = 30
n = 30/0.3 =300/3 = 100
_____________________________________________________
(35/100) X 200 = 35 X 2 = 70
_____________________________________________________
(12/100) X 500 = 12 X 5 = 60
_____________________________________________________
In 60 mins 65 miles. Hence in 1 min 65/60 miles. Thus, in 40 mins
the car travels 40 X (65/60) = (40/60) X 65 = 2/3 X 65 = 130/3miles i.e., 43.3333(recurring) miles.

Again, the question is ambiguously stated because 1/4 as many quarters means 1/4 X n/4 means n/16 i.e., (n +n/16) dimes.
Alternatively the question could mean (n + n/4) dimes. Whichever is accepted by your instructor convert those many dimes to cents.

4/100 of 700 dollars = (4/100) X 700 = $ 28 per annum. Since the interest is simple for 4 years the total interest amounts to 4 X 28
= $ 112 only for the 4 years.

X/9 = 15/27
Hence, by cross-multiplication,27 x X = 9 x 15
Or X = (9 X 15)/27 = 5

ok i have been out of school for a while lol but if i remember correctly here goes
#1) 3(n)+8=56
#2) 6(n)-7+3
#10) x=5
because 5/15 = 3
9/27= 3
and I'm not sure about #9 but at 4% he should be making $28.00 a year
