I AM NOT TRYING TO AFFEND ANYONE...I AM MIXED BUT I WAS JUST WONDERING WHY PEOPLE ARE LIKE THIS:
i was watching television lastnight and on A&E they did a special on the Skinhead movement. I watched it because i was curios but it disgusted me to see that those people were raising kids with hitlers beliefs. I was just wondering why they dont respect anyone who isnt aryan. Can anyone tell me why skinheads become skinheads and why they like to be skin heads?

I saw that show. It disturbed me because I know this guy that's taking these kids in is only taking advantage of their vulnerability. I believe that those boys would latch onto anyone if they were as charismatic as this guy because they are young and impressionable. Did you notice that they have virtually no discipline or structure other than neo nazi doctrine?
The sad thing is this problem could be easily eliminated if these kids had better school guidance counseling and if schools addressed these problems.
It takes more energy for one man to hate than the entire world to love.

Its a multittude of reasons: They want someone to blame thier problems on, they have all this mis-directed hate and anger, they feel as if the world has turned against them, etc,. It just goes on and on. But being honest, have people ever really needed an actual REASON to hate and destroy things they don't understand?
Most of these kids who join these hate groups want a feeling of belonging to something bigger than themselves. They want a "family" of sorts that accepts them and praises them and tells them they are "better than..". If you grow up in a community that tells you that this behaviour is "right" and no one is telling you any different, then of course you would see nothing inherently wrong with the behaviours and mindset.
They don't.

I don't know. I'm born and raised in NE TN, a very hick town, and there is a lot of ignorant people, but I can't possibly imagine thinking someone wasn't as good because of the color of their skin. That's just absolutely outrageous.

I saw it as well, and I believe that they have had hard lives. Hard enough so that they need some kind of belief that makes them feel good, which would be "white power". After seeing how poorly some of the kids lived, I feel kind of sorry for them actually.

Irrational fear and mis-education.
- Not all skinheads are racist. Some are actually anti-racist and some groups shave their heads for a fashion statement.
