How does Channing Paisley sound for a girl's name?

Question

I really like this for my baby's name. I can't think of any boy names. So suggestions will be great. Thanks.

When I was 7 I met a girl named Channing who was in rehab with my sister, when she had a 4 wheeler wreck and was learning to walk and talk all over. Anyway Channing was there too doing the same thing, but she was in a car with her mom and dad and they were hit by a train. Both her parents died but she lived. So that is why I want Channing.

I think it is a beautiful name and a very honorable thing to name your baby after that little girl. You know she had a hard life. And though she most likely will never know that someone was named after her, the fact would remain that you did it. The whole name is beautiful, though. Good luck with the boy name.....I had a horrible time coming up with a name for my son. I won't say it on here, but what I did was look up names. I wrote all of them down that I liked, then put 2 together that sounded good. Good luck!

Oh, and I know a girl named Channing and everyone calls her Chan. She loves it and it really fits her. I know everyone thinks the child will be teased, but the terrible truth is that all kids are teased at some point in their life for something. You can't stop that. God gave us as parents the priviledge of naming our children. You do what you want. People are going with unusual names more now. And I personally think they are gorgeous names. Don't let people on here talk you into going with a name that everyone uses. Then your child will be in school with ten other people having the same name.

I like Paisley (It's the name of a town near Glasgow in Scotland, my b'f's mother lives there) but not Channing, it depends where you are from but a child called that where I live would be teased mercilessly, children can be so cruel. It's great that you want to name your child after such a brave person and if this is what you really like then go for it, it is your baby so you must be the one who decides, it's not my cup of tea.

Its a nice thought to name her after channing. But channing is probably going to get made fun of, and also, I know a guy with that name, not a girl.

I like Paisley but I'm not sold on Channing, it sounds a little to aristocratic? You may want to visit a book store and peek in a few of their baby names books, those really help to get your creatives juices flowing....I know picking a name is hard! Good luck!

She'll end up being called Chan! Be careful what you do to your kids. They have to live with the name, you don't. Maybe consider Paisley Channing?

Think of shild as an adult - "Paging Dr. Channing Paisley" or "I need to go vist my attorney, 'Channing Paisley'" You are being extremely short sighted. Think twice.

It sounds alot like CHANGING Paisley. What are you changing the Paisley too?
If you like it and it won't get your kid beat up or picked on everyday then go for it.
