Every contract has its own commission schedule. The same management company may be paying different rates to different distributors (or even to the same distributor, depending on the size of the purchase). The maximums are specified in the fund's prospectus. Look for the information on front loads and 12b1 fees in the prospectus. Or, on a Yahoo! Finance fund profile page. For example, Pioneer Cullen Value Fund has a maximum front load of 5.75% and a maximum 12b1 fee of 0.25%.

It's not a whole, and it depends on the mutual fund company...I used to be a financial rep, and we didnt depend on mutual funds for comissions....usually its just 1-3%
