No one can tell you this with any absolute certainty...all you can do is figure out what you believe based on your own knowledge, faith, common sense, or whatever you value the most. Everyone has different beliefs and no one can ever know the truth. But I do think it's a waste of our precious time on earth to worry about an afterlife...hopefully you can just cope with the death of a loved one by thinking of fond memories and keeping them alive in your heart (I know that is a cliche, but it's true.)
Best wishes to you and your family and I am sorry for your loss.
PS - Do not listen to any of the stupid answers you get, don't let them make you feel bad.

There is no such thing as heaven or hell. They are merely fabrications that were created for emotional sake. For example, let’s just say a kid’s grandma died. Bummer and we know the kid will cry because she’s gone. The parents would say that “she’s in a better place.” That’s where they are wrong. Sure it may make the child better, but what you’re really doing is lying. As for hell, it has the same basic principle. Hell was created to scare people. It was made to keep people from doing bad things, such as breaking the “almighty Ten Commandments.” What happens if I steal something? I’ll go to hell. That’s how the story goes. Think about how we behave. Do we do things that we’re not supposed to if there are no consequences? Of course we do, but look at it the other way. Do we do things that we’re not supposed to if we get punished for doing so? Of course not, and that’s why prisons are here. When hell is described to us, we get the feeling that we never want to go there, ever. So if there is no heaven and/or hell, then what happens when we die? When you die, you die. That’s it, and there’s nothing special afterwards.

Our perception as human beings seeing life come to end with our own eyes does not mean that this is all there is. We can not imagine what there was before our birth, so it seems reasonable that we can not imagine what there will be after we are no longer here.
Our minds are only beginning to explore the world of how things work on a molecular level, that which the human eye cannot see. When viewing a material thing that is before you, the human mind looks at it as a whole object, yet, for everything that you can see, there are a countless number of things that you cannot ever see with your human eyes. Things that operate on this level are beyond life and death.
If you keep dry seeds in a jar for over a 100 years, then one day, decide to plant them in the ground, they will grow. So, were the seeds dead all of that time, or was there something at work all along, that your eyes could not see?
Think beyond the surface, as there is more to death than meets the eye. :)

there is a flaw in this question: life and death is a human definition, to states, in the same manner water freeze or evaporates, scientifically speaking, the human intelligence is a sense, same as hearing or eye-sight, which exists as results of a certain organization of atoms to molecules to a human being, and again human being breaks down to molecules and atoms and so on, hence life and death are just stages in the process, life and death converge into the cosmic membrane, that's how much we know.

Sorry for your loss. We can't know for sure if there is life after death until we die -- so I hope it is a long time until you find out.
In the mean time, your grandfather can live on in your heart and in your mind. Tell stories about him. Ask people who knew him well to tell you stories about him. Celebrate his life.

Possibly, but we cannot know for sure. If your Grandfather accepted the gift of eternal life offered by Jesus, AND you also accept the gift, I believe you will definitely see him again.

Nobody can answer that for sure -- it's what your own beliefs are. Sorry for your loss.
