My birthday is coming up, I wanted to dress up, and I want to wear contacts, something dark to bring out my eye, I wanted purple, but my mom said that it will look trash. so what would you say?

and should I tan my skin(I'll wear darker makeup, since I found that it is impossible to get a tan, I'll just turn from white to pink to white again....hopeless

na, I don't think I wanna try blue contacts...and plus, I don't own a contact...I was giving the blue colored eye when I was born....I want something new, as strange as possible

Girl, you can always work with on what you got. If you want to change yourself so much that means you are really insecured and with the purple contacts you will get a lot of stares. Maybe you are gothic and into that stuff. Which is really cool. Have a good day.

To the person who answered first: That doens't mean she is insecure. Anybody can find happiness in the change of their eye color!

I tried color contacts before (I have to wear ones to see anyway) I even wore them to school. But I just used "sunrise" to brighten the brown in my eyes. They looked nice, but I'll tell you this right off the bat - they tend to slide around in your eye a bit. They just don't stay centered. Color contacts are made to fit the "average" eye so I guess mine aren't very average lol.

I can't really tell from your picture, but it looks like your eyes are a blue. Purple would likely show up since your eyes aren't brown or dark, but it will probably look fake (some color contacts are like that). I'd suggest trying something a little more simple like a darker blue, or even a green.

There are quite a few to choose from so just try what looks best with your eyes color. The darker blue would make your eyes more noticable, and the green would make them a whole different color which might also be fun to try.

Happy Birthday to you! I don't know which birthday it is, but unless you are very young, like twelve or thirteen-ish, it could be fun to wear purple contacts. Sure, people will look at you, but isn't that what it's all about? I'm assuming you have more than one pair of contacts, so this will not be your only pair. It's fun to dress up for special events -- and you can consider purple contacts as an accessory. Your Mom might not think it so outlandish if she knew you wouldn't be wearing them every day.
Should you tan your skin? Why would you do that! Fair skin is coming back into popularity, as those of us who have been tanning for years have discovered we are now more susceptible to skin cancer and are developing wrinkles earlier than our fair-complexioned sisters. So if you've got the option, flaunt your pale skin. Besides, it'll be a more dramatic contrast with those purple pupils!

if you want your eyes to stand out try a contact that is an enhancer. Like make your eyes bright blue! or Bright Green. I dont think you should go with brown , although carmel would look good. Goto your eye doctors. They have millions of samples. Tell them what you want and they will let you try on any you want to see what you like.

purple would be nice but make it a darkendmore suttle purple. If you get something bright or way too unnatural it will look weird. JUst think : a daarker and more suttle purple.
