Not getting a prompt re-fill. You should never have to wait to take that next sip of refreshing water or (soda). But however, I have a huge pet peeve if the waiter decides to just bring out a huge pitcher of soda to save him from having to come back for re-fills. I mean if your that lazy you probably don't deserve a good tip!

Rude customers from the moment they walk into the restaurant acting like it's "all about me" when there are a million other people waiting just like them. People who treat the wait staff badly and run them around when they could send them once for the last 5 things they asked for. People who send their obnoxious kids to eat in the restaurant while they drink and smoke at the bar, and then don't tip. Inconsiderate toadstools!

Rude customers who treat everyone bad ,workers, others near them, and someone they brought with them. the home is where they should stay to act that way if they must act that way at all.
Bulling the staff you can not tell them what you think of the way they act and the management often has paid for their dinner to get them out of the place and these people count on that. Never in tented to pay for it in the first place.
It is the same as fraud.

First, to James S. Sorry but serving at Outback doesn't make you an authority on the subject( Sorry, got to keep it real)
The worst thing to see in ANY restaurant is people not controlling their children.
16 years working in every facet of the industry makes me an authority.

When there is hair in the food. Ewww. Thats why I like to eat at home. Who knows what else is in the food that you cant see. Cell phones, screaming kids are the least of my worries. lol

When the person you are eating answers and talks for a long period of time on his/her cell phone or even gets up to go gamble at the adjoining casino.

having people you know interrupt your romantic meal, a quick hello or nod should be enough but some people feel the need to just stand at the table and have a full on conversation.
