no he wasn't. he was behind the last defender but the ball was not passed to him, it was passed to the wing then passed to Andriano, who was not offside at this point.(offsides means you have to be involved in the play, you could technically stand by the goalie the entire game and as long as the ball is not played to you, you wouldnt be offside).

it was offside but remember good old Seppy told the ref before the game if Brazil don't win your career is over so he has no other choice but to comply and cheat for brazil
