In all seriousness... even if I could get past the fact that this is a low scoring, boring game to me, and even if I could get past the fact that a competitive sport could have matches that end in ties *cringe*... I cannot get past the fact that this sport encourages grown men to pretend to fall down and cry like 7 year old girls in order to get a competitive edge. In boxing, taking a dive will get you sanctioned and barred from the sport; in soccer it seems like it's page one in the playbook.
How do you reconcile the fact that this sport you love encourages its players to act like b*tches? Do you consider this baby-acting to be sportsmanlike? Do you actually approve of this tactic?
Seriously, what can you say to defend this practice?

Oh, and if you are so ignorant that all you can do is name-call like some of the first posters, please move along. I'm looking for serious answers from people who think they can defend that faking an injury is a genuine tactic.
