I used the patches and I used Wellbutrin. I am not sure if the Wellbutrin helped alot, but it did seem like when I had a craving, it didn't last that long, and I didn't sit and think about having a cigarette like I used to, and now I am 3 months without a smoke, after a pack a day for 14 years.
PS - There is a new stop smoking drug out if you fail, it is supposed to block inhibitors in your brain or something.
Good luck!

the thing to remember is that when you have a craving, if you don't give into it, it goes away after a few minutes. So find some things to take up that time. Drinking water, taking a walk, or snacking on something that's low calories (like carrot or celery sticks) will help. Also, find something to do with your hands. Try to find a way to change your regular routine to break the habit of lighting up. If you normally have your coffee in the morning in the kitchen, try going outside or changing rooms. And make sure that you get rid of all smoking stuff like ashtrays, lighters, and, of course, your cigarettes. Good luck to you =)

Then you can't have it with coffee. Try to drink something else.
I quite for 2 years and still craved one. I worked with a girl who smoked one cig. a day and I thought that if I smoked just that one with her that it would solve my cravings and face it, one a day is nothing. It didn't work. I went right back to smoking. You can't pick them up again. I wish you luck. Remember, if you fail, you can try again and again and again. Don't let people make you feel bad if you mess up. It takes time.

Just remeber your reasons for quitting. My mom quit and she told herself over and over again that she was doing it for her kids because she didn't want to hurt them. Find your reason and everytime you want a cig, remind yourself why you are quitting. And if your cravings are really bad, get up and walk 10 times around your kitchen table or coffee table. Then, you'll be getting a small work out while curbing your cravings.
Stay strong and good luck!

Look up sites about the lung cancer when you have the urge.
The statistics will scare you.
My Dad died of it because he smoked and his bones became full of holes to the extent that they began breaking before he died.
I am glad that you are quitting. It is hard but not as hard as Chemotherapy.

If you feel like having a smoke, go for a walk, swim, jog, bike ride, etc. It will help forget about the craving, get you in shape, and feel better overall.
You won't regret quiting. Believe me.

Hey, Good for you. Hope that you succeed. I wish you the best of luck with that. Yeah, do what the first person suggested. Chew gum or something else if you have it.

Believe in yourself.
Drink lots of water.
Find something to hold in your hand and mouth to replace cigarettes, like gum, toothpick, or a pen.
