The meaning of life is to blaze your own trail so that others will want to follow you, but can't!

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

I wanted to start off my response with "you're barking up the wrong tree" - meaning, you probably don't want to hear my answer. Of course, I thought better of this after realizing that there are many people who agree with me on this, regardless of whether or not they post to this site.

There is no meaning to life. Why does everything have to have a meaning? To give you a purpose? To endorse your existence? Suppose there is no meaning to life? Does that make the life you live any worse or better? Does knowing that life has no purpose or intent make you feel uncomfortable? Wouldn't it be easier if there was something to explain everything that we see, feel, hear, and experience? Oh wait, that's god. Yeah. Too bad it doesn't exist. That WOULD be a convenient explanation though... No doubt about that.

As with many situations, when you have asked the question openly, truly desiring an answer, then you are ready for it. That which is above cannot conceive of the little things that we take for granted and vice versa; that which is below cannot conceive of these great conundrums that constantly overwhelm us. Our duty therefore is to experience what we can, learn all we can and help as many others that we meet to do the same. In this and only this can we inform the Divine as we were designed to do, to enter its creation and experience what it cannot. Then can we report back as we reintegrate with the Divine briefly before ultimate reassignment. All answers are quite simple as long as we understand the question and are ready to ask.

The meaning of life is to live in the way that the Creator of Life meant for you to live.

The meaning of life is to get on with it, without asking silly questions.

Live life like it's your last day on earth, everyday. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Birth=Death. Life is in between. God put us all here for a reason. We must choose the right path (good vs. evil) and see what happens on Judgement Day. (If you believe in the Bible and God.)

God created us in His image, so what does that say? We all can be God like and be good productive people. No racism- turning on other people just because they look different, no ar, no violence, etc. Who are the real Demons? hmmm...

Just my philosophy...

To learn. Every event we're involved in, every action and consequence all is designed to teach us what it is we're supposed to know. Some are quick learners and others take a long time to reach their "a-ha moment" but the point is the same. That's good to remember when something happens that deeply hurts or disappoints us. We are experiencing it because we need to learn from it.
