Yet another example of blatant 'big' nation bias. Brazil 2nd goal was offside not once but twice! Italy penalty was never a penalty.

I totally agree with you. There were not even one offside but two in the goal attack. I'm terrified by this refereeing. They ruled out the match.

Yeah, its gotten to the point , I think most folks outside of these countries are just watching to see how bad the calls and refs can be. Its like a car wreck - we all stop to see the gore.

My favorite excuses arfe "we can't see everything", "refs screw up" and "FIFA changed the rules before , its not the refs fault" - yet only 1 time has FIFA come out and denounced a ref - a Russian one after the Portugal debacle. Funny, they chose to call out a ref from a team, that isn't even playing in the world cup and has little, if any bearing on global FIFA. How "manly" of them...

It depends on what your definition of "big" nations is. Argentina is always getting screwed by the refs and linesmen (I think we've lost at least three goals already by dodgy or just plain wrong "offside" calls), and we're neither small nor new to the world football stage.

ok...and Brasil claims that France bought their cup in 1998..sooo if it happens...it is not just for the big countries...it is against them as well...THIS is based on the fact that the world has not been impressed with France since 1986 when they took 3rd place beating Brasil in a shootout 4;3 after tying 1:1 in regular time.

Where was France in 1990?1994? 2002? and they suck again here in 2006..they were in a HORRIBLE group this year and barely pulled it out...and they were in an even worse group in 1998 and won it all...soooo yeah there are scandals...but not always FOR Germany, Italy or Brasil...Brasil would have won this if it remained 1:0....as it was they nearly scored 4....get off it..

Wouldn't surprise me!
The countries in central Europe are getting it easier from the refs because the stadia need to be filled up!
In this case, Brazil~Ghana... who has more capacity to summon up viewers? Brazil of course!

But australia is considered a 'small' nation in terms of soccer history and experience. The Underdog.

Does all decisions go in favour of the bigger nation? Arguable.

sounds like your team lost.

Penalty against Austrailia was a pentalty? What about the Red card against Italy?

i agree with you and i think ghana is playing better than brazil. Its because they dont want any team playing brazil to win especially at the knockout stages.

Are you implying that Australia is not a 'big' nation?
