The "terrorists" that were caught in Florida suspected of plotting to blow up buildings in Chicago were black americans (2 were Haitian) and were from the hood. They had no money, no weapons, no chemicals and no direction - basically a lot of hot air. Even the media said their plotting was more aspirational than operational. Should they be charged as terrorists?

The due process of law must prevail. They can be let off if nothing comes out of the investigation. However in these troubled times no chances can be taken since lo is at stake.

Terrorist have one agenda. To make it hard and deadly for people or governments with which they violently and agressively disagree based on religious or civil rights, etc.
A terrorist is not a group of people wanting to make a name for themselve in the hood. We are spending our hard earned tax dollars to catch and prosecute common criminal activity. I am sure that the cost of tracking and catching a terrorist is much more the cost of tracking and catching everyday criminals.
That is what the boys were - common everyday criminals.
Our Government is such a farce.

It is illegal to make a threat, but the more details come out about this, it seems to me the Sears Tower was under as much threat from them as it might be from an army of Koala bears.

This is the way it will be now that Rove is back and is no longer under threat of indictment for his treasonous behavior.

You'll not that while he was under investigation there was never anything about these "threats". He gets back, and we get our first arrest - they had no weapons, they didn't have the plans of the Sears Tower, only one of them had ever been to Chicago.

If they were openly talking about it, that is illegal and they should be arrested. But the administration should be ashamed of themselves for playing it up so much. They made such a big deal out of it and there was so little threat that it makes them look dumb.
