This is NOT Love!!! Love is not something sick and twisted and full of heartless pain.

You have to stand up, (requires a backbone,) and walk to the door, (gathering purpose and will,) and go thru the door and don't look back, (strength of will,) You cannot look back. You know in your heart that he only loves himself or he would not have chosen the drugs over you and your relationship. At this point you are just an enabler. Your being there is only helping him be an addict--your emotional support and I bet your financial support too. You may not be buying him his drugs but if that is where he spends his money you probably have to take care of the household expenses.

It is time to move on with your life, no matter how hard it seems to do so at this point. You need to find someone who will love you more than a bag of chemical substance.

Besides, this loser will be in jail soon.

because you can't see the forest for the trees. he's an addict, who would rather get high than deal with reality and day to day stuff. you worry coz you care, do yourself a favor and move on, you can still worry about him just not with him. find someone who will treat you as you'd like

It will definitely hurt in the beginning, but once you get away and realize you can do better and be without him, you will be a better person. Let him deal with his own problems. He will have to become to know what is right for him and you can't always be his lookout. It's ok to care, but you have to get away from him for your own sake.

Because you keep holding on to what you wanted him to be. You have to open your eyes real big and see the situation for what it is. The picture you have in your mind is not real. Once you let go of that it will be easier to close this chapter.
