There are many more than three ways to prepare hydrogen, but typical ways include

electropositive metal + acid

steam reforming methane

electrolysis is the main one and easiest and safest unless you're stupid and set something on fire which is entirely possible.

react sodium or other group one metal with water and H2 is given off (normally catches on fire).

HCl + aluminum foil - do not do this near flamable materials unless you want to explain to the nice firemen exactly how you set your house on fire.
