Yes I have - on business. Also Adapazari, and Gebze. Good people, weather is similar to where I live in the U.S.

No, I have never been. But my boyfriend of 3 years is from Izmir. He just got back a few weeks ago from a month long visit. We are planning a trip for next summer. I am very excited.
