I am a young teenager, and I have not started my period yet, but I have had this white gooish stuff comming out and ending up in my underwear (it happens everyday, sometimes more than once a day), this has been happening for a couple of months now. Is this normal, does it mean I will have my period soon?
Please help.........

It is normal to have some kind of vaginal discharge. However, if the discharge is accompanied by pain, strong odor, a burning sensation, frequent urination, or other symptoms you will want to consult with your doctor.

The white gooish stuff is your body's way to flush out any bacteria out of your womb. Your period would come when your body is ready. If you're concern, talk to your mom and tell her to bring you to the doctor. Nothing to worry about.

it is just a discharge from a your vigina and any discharge that is clear and whitish is normal. not having your period does not mean anything. Some women don;t have their period until they are 17 or 18 while some get it when they are 8 or 10. It is a matter of time before you get your period.

This is very normal. Don't panic. Every women has what is known as a discharge. It's just wet down there and yes it'll mess up a few pairs of panties. Try a panty liner if it bothers you. And yes, you'll probably start your period very soon. My discharge started three months before my first period. ...go buy kotex and get ready.

if it is totally white it more then likely is hormones. Your body is preparing itself to become a women. If there is yellow or green color in the discharge could be a yeast infection and you would have to go to the doctor to get a pap smear and some medicine. But go ahead and get you some feminine napkins (pads) because you my friend are fixing to be a women.....enjoy life as you know it ...because periods are painful and gross....definitely not worth waiting for.

Perfectly normal! It is just a sign that your first period is coming up soon. It is called discharge. I have had it for 2 years before my period started. Try using pantiliners, and when it starts to turn brownish, start trying pads. Dont worry!

It is most likely just your hormones "gearing up" to start your period. It's normal to have some amount of discharge.

If it every gets itchy or smelly though, you may have a yeast infection, but it doesn't sound like that.

That can be there for several months before you actually get your period.

This is called white discharge and it is absolutely normal unless there is any bad smell. This does mean that your periods are going to start soon..

It might be a yeast infection. That happened to me before I got my period and after. When I was 17 I went to the gyno and it turned out to be a yeast infection. You should probably get it checked out.
