Not the questions as so much the people who answer them, I asked a question due to the loss of my baby at 20 weeks pregnant and some guy responded by saying he was glad my baby died and called me the "N" word, I'm not African American but it still offended me and I was upset that the African Americans who may want to answer my question had to see it, there was no cause for that so I think when people act in this way they should be kicked of here, I know they will be able to log on as another name but at least they will have to go thru the trouble of setting it up every time. Good question

For extreme profanity, I don't care.
Absolutely not for questions themselves.
All questions are valid questions, even if considered extreme (and in too many areas, there is always people ready to crawl out from under their rocks and declare themselves to be offended. Or worse, declare that other people are, or will be, offended.
Questions which people take issue with - let them answer the questions in whatever way they choose as well.
For those whose eyes might be offended but who refuse to pluck them out, questions could be classed according to some criteria, some as "religious", "political", "profanity", or whatever. Users could then opt not to see questions so labelled (this should not be too hard for Yahoo's programmers to implement).
As well, users could have an "ignore this user" button. If they don't like what they see from a particular user, click, and never see their stuff again. This could optionally filter answers by the same person as well (although seeing "Best Answer" chosen ...blank... might seem strange).
My view: Censorship is the equivalent of "legislating morality", which always turns out to mean some one-issue wonders declare that THEIR morality is good, YOUR morality is bad. People should not be allowed to declare their view "the one true way" if it is possible instead for them to declare only "their own one true way" by filtering content for themselves. Not for others.

well, with people like malevirginia, i think it goes without saying, some people can push the envelope just too far, but most of the time, i think if parents are supervising their kids properly, adults on this site should be mature enough to move on if a question offends them that much & i think yahoo should recognize that....the malevirginia's are what "reporting abuse" are for.

Yes, cause the ones like the one after this one waste space, especially when you already know the answer.

to some extent, some people may find some material offensive, and young impressionable minds ask & answer questions here too.
