Here is the simple situation.
Just explain m the situation. Ask m which of the two he likes and tell him that you have decided in such a way that the one he loves has sacrificed him and he can only have the one that he does not love.
If he does not accept then he can have only the one he does not love
If he accepts then he can have only the one he really loves
If he does not accept then he can have only the one he does not love and does not want to have the other one, he can have the one he love
If he accepts then he can have only the one he really loves, the one who he accepted can still have an affair with him and turn the other one jealous

First you should ask yourself if this boy is worth your friendship, cuz that is what you might loose. Tell your friend how you feel about this person and ask her the same. It might be best to just leave him alone. Yea he's hot but you might not be with him for long. Just sit down and talk with your friend about this. If its gonna hurt her for you to go with him then I wouldnt risk it (unless you really dont like her) and tell her if its gonna hurt you if she goes with him.
Never let a boy you dont know come in-between your friendship!

I think you both can either talk it over, but to be real with you if you both was really good friends neither one of you will give up a friendship just to choose who gets the guy.
