I have had this reset twice and it still comes on when it wants to. I was told by the dealership that it could be my alternator putting out to much charge, but I've had that tested too. Everything is putting out the right charge, but I just can't seem to get this to stay off. What else can I do?

The SRS light that stays on is the front censor not the side air bags. I was hit in the rear and that’s when the problem started. When they read the code it says that a plug in device is causing it.

The only time I had that happen with my Honda is when I took it to the dealer to get some warranty work done and they messed up the wiring in my steering column.

I used to have a Nissan Altima that would do that too and it was a manufacter's defect.

On late model Accords & Civics (2001 & newer) this light will come on if you have something weighing over 4 lbs in the Passanger seat. For instance your purse, or a bag of groceries. This light comes on to indicate to you the SRS system is disabled because someone in the passanger seat is too small for the air bag to come on. I have seen this numerous times. You may pay attention and see if it is coming on under these circumstances. If not, take it to the dealer to diagnose the problem... You may need to find another dealership to address the problem

There might be a bad sensor, somewhere...the dealership guys need to re-check what systems are involved in SRS, check all connectors for looseness/contamination/water etc. Moisture can play hell with car electrical systems, especially new ones that of late now include onboard hot-tubs, microwaves, and refrigerators or whatever other stupid accessories they're adding nowadays to sell cars...have em check the wiring for chafing etc...cars shake when they go down the road, because of the wheels, because of the road, because of the engine, whatever...if there's a bare spot on the insulation anywhere, it can cause part of the electrical system to ground out, and that can make the rest of the system do wierd stuff....

I thought Hondas last forever and only American cars break down! lol

Take it back to Honda. That light should ONLY come on when something is bad in the SRS system. Your life is at stake if you get in a crash and your SRS does not work. Dont yell...but Forcefully tell them to FIX IT!!! If the manager says that it is fine just ignore it...tell him to put HIS wife in it to drive and ignore it.

This should be a relatively simple problem to diagnose and repair. It is inexcusable that they did not fix this right the first time...Let alone TWICE!

That is an issue with your airbag system. Take your car to a different Honda dealer who knows what they are doing. A Honda dealer should never let you leave the garage without definitive answers... they obviously don't want to look closely enough.

The brake gentle change is positioned close to the pivot aspect the position your brake pedal connects. The change is adjustable to placed it closer or extra faraway from the brake pedal arm. both the brake pedal is sticking, the change is sticking or the spring which holds the brake pedal up completely has damaged. examine it out and spray some WD-40. you've to modify the brake gentle change by loosening the mounting nut. It has 2 nuts, one on both fringe of the bracket. Loosen the single on the frenzy button part and then turn the single off on the different part slightly and then re-tighten it. do no longer pass to a options, try it. The brake pedal arm pushes on the frenzy button fringe of the change and could push it in a options sufficient to make contact. that is corresponding to the little push button change on your door jam which turns the dome gentle on once you open the door. no matter if it isn't completely depressed it gained't close off the gentle.

I had the same problem with my 04 Element.
It was a bad seat sensor. Their diagnostic test should reveal it.
Try another dealer.

There may be a malfunction with your airbag system. Have it checked immediately! If you get into an accident it may not deploy.
