We are midway through summer so you're a little late. If you live in a neighborhood with a lot a families that you know, I'm sure there are a lot of busy moms that would love some help with light housework and keeping children busy for a few hours. I would gladly pay for someone to run the vacuum cleaner, sweep, unload the diswasher, etc. At your age, you could babysit elementary age children. But you have to be truly dedicated and motivated to care for children. You could easily make $100 a week if you set your mind to it. Go for it and good luck.

Monster , Yahoo Hotjobs, Careebuilder are some of the largest job
boards, where you can upload
your resume. Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller
companies post their
vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can search for jobs
from multiple websites using
aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a
increasingly popular way to
get hired. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/emdyn

I don't know where you are located so I might not be giving the right answer but, I live in the country and we detassle corn every year It pays good, There is also mowing lawns, offering to clean out peoples garages, and yard work, there is also babysitting and cleaning yards and houses. newspaper deliveries and my favorite, asking people to walk their dogs. just be careful and make sure that you aren't alone with people that you don't know, summer rules but safety is always the first priority

I don't know CT state laws but in most places kids at your age can't not work in most businesses (unless its a family owned business and you a direct member of the family and even then your hours are very restricted). Not sure why you need a summer job but you should enjoy your time as a kid as you will have the rest of your life to work, this time as a kid will never come back to you.

okay do not work at fast foods. also, large companys do not hire anyone less then 16 years old.
try babysitting or pet sitting. or go around your neighborhood and ask to wash someone's car or wash their windows. you can also ask someone in your area if you can clean their front lawn.
or get together with your friends and put a car wash together and split the profit.
dont hurry on wanting to work. as soon as you start to work a real job like around 16 or 17, yeah it will be fun, but as soon as you get older like 20 years old .you will soooo get tired of working. believe me.
also, someone just typed that you should go to craigslist.com
well its not .com its .org

If you go to a business and are hired, do not expect many hours. There are child labor laws that prevent minors working over a certain number of hours, depending on age, state and time of year. You should be able to look up the child labor laws for your state online.

So know this: it's people who hire you and so you first need to find the right people (those who have the power to hire someone) and then they have to like you and believe you to be capable. But they need your help and you have something to offer (right?), so each of you has needs and each of you has the power to help each other.
There's always mowing lawns. Then you have to go out an hustle for clients who want you to mow their lawn.

Ask some family members if you can clean there house. If you do a good job they may refer you to some of there friends. You can just do a little bit of dusting, fold clean clothes, wash dishes, mop the floor ,and come up with your own ideas that you can be of some assistance.
