"Love Is Everywhere I Go"
Sam Phillips
Fan Dance
Gilmore Girls
"Hammers and Veils"
Who: Any good Gilmore Girls fan knows that some of the great songs on Gilmore Girls are by Sam Phillips, but what you might not know is that she also composes the really fun background music for the show.
What: Folksy, fun pop music that is highlighted by Sam Phillips' amazing voice. Her newest CD, Fan Dance, has a more intimate, simple sound than her other stuff. From the sultry, slurred "Incinerator" to the sweet "Love Is Everywhere I Go," Phillips proves that she can do something that most people can't - write great songs.
Why You Care: In the Gilmore Girls episode "Hammers and Veils," Lorelai and Max dance to "Love Is Everywhere I Go" at their engagement party (sigh).
More, More, More: Sam Phillips actually started her music career as a Christian singer using her real name, Leslie Phillips. In 1988, she changed her name and released her first non-Christian album, The Indescribable Wow.

My wife watches this show. Sorry, I dont know the song, but does it bother you that the camera angle changes EVERY time somebody else has dialog? It gives me a headache. It's like the teacup ride at Disneyland. It spins round and round every time someone starts talking. And you know on that show the dialog moves so fast. Well, so do the cameras.
