shakira has an amzing voice... or at least she did about 7 years ago when i actually like her. her first songs were nice. they were more vocals and guitar than noise
but she's not the best. i just wanted to make that point =]
stevie nix is great
alice copoer
elvis!!!!!
freddie mercury
elton john has an amazing voice
and so did janis joplin
and bon scott
yeah a lot of rock and roll there
but for newer stuff,
maybe christina aguilera. she's got a great voice,
selena did too. and kelly clarkson
and maybe beyonce, idk i don't like rap or any new stuff so much
oh, and the girl from evanessence...
i guess that's all i got, if you wanna keep talking aabout this topic (music is a huge part of my life) just email aliunkc2002@yahoo.com
i'll probably be editing this alot though, so just check for changes later on.
hoped it helped =]

Frank Sinatra, without a doubt.
I was 13 in 1969 and I grew up surrounded by young pop on radio (ex. Happy Together/Turtles) and by artists like Jimi Hendrix and Crosby Stills and Nash on my small stereo in my bedroom. But, one day I was in a steakhouse with my mother and brother, bored to tears and dreaming about my latest junior high crush, when I heard the song "Witchcraft" by Sinatra coming from the restaurant speakers. It was soft but powerful, melodic yet sharp with vibrant life and I fell inside Sinatra's voice. I built a secret collection over the years, and kept my seemingly not-cool admiration of Sinatra to myself. As I grew into adulthood I discovered others who had had similiar experiences, and those my own age who admired and nearly worshipped the voice and unmatched artistry of Sinatra.
Though today I continue to appreciate the music of my generation and that of today's young culture, I turn to Frank when I need perfection where there is none, and when solace is hard to find. I discovered I was grateful for not boxing myself into music only meant for those my age, and that appreciation of ageless talent is not only desirable but also is a gift only you can give to yourself. Appreciation of the music of every generation is invaluable and the benefits of widening your "ear" are limitless, as is the boundless journey of music that will continue long after we are gone.
