You might want to try hydrogen peroxide... test it in an inconspicuous area of your sofa first, though.

I work in a health care facility and a girl got blood all over her lavender scrub shirt. I used hydrogen peroxide. Doesn't remove the color from the fabric but takes all the blood out. If it has been sitting a while then let the peroxide sit for about 10 minutes or so. You will see it bubble everywhere there is blood. Wipe the bubbles and apply again if not completely gone you will see it bubble some more. It really works. Gauranteed!

My son had blood on his pillow case due to bleeding nose and my friend's son had blood all over his clothes from the same thing. We both used hydrogen peroxide and the effect of the bubbles lifted the blood out of the fabric completely. Don't wet your sofa before putting in the peroxide. Pour some peroxide on it first then wash. Let me know how it goes. I know first hand it works...she told me about it and I was amazed that the blood was gone.

Oxy-clean works great on getting blood stains out of fabric. Use it in its abrasive form.
Where'd you hide the body?

Blue windex removes blood. You may need to work on it a little bit though.
