We all know that the Cards pitching staff has really sucked lately. What trade do you think the Cards should make? Should they go for a dominant starting pitcher? Who should they trade and what pitcher should they go after? Or should they leave the pitching staff the way it is? What are your thoughts?

Well, to start, they really need to get rid of Ponson. There's nothing worse than a bad attitude combined with lack of talent. I would have to agree that they should try and make a run at Dontrelle Willis, because if the Marlins are given a good enough offer, they'll trade him off in a heartbeat.
And they really, desperately need to get rid of Jason Isringhausen and get themselves a pitcher who can handle the closer role. I know he's leading the league in saves or is really close to it, but it's painful to hear about how many times he's nearly blown it.

The Marlins arent going to take Mark Mulder's salary. And the Cardinals and Mets certainly aren't going to pay for him to pitch of a team that might be beating them in a year or two.
Why dont you guys be realistic and stop floating these garbage ideas around. Willis isn't getting dealt. The Mets aren't moving Pelfrey after the Scott Kazmir debacle.
The Cards wont make a trade for pitching. They'll win their division anyway.

I think they should make a trade when mulder lowers his era hows this a 3 way trade mets marlins and cards cards give marlins mulder a prospect and a draft pick mets give The young star mike pelfry to the cards and the mets get d train thats what i was thinking

Anthony Reyes is the answer. He had a no-hitter going against the white sox until he threw ONE wrong pitch and Thome DEMOLISHED it out of the park. And move Wainwright to the rotation, he's good too!

i'd say see you later as they have chippie and Wainwright, the rotation would nevertheless be triumphant. they're both very proficient and experienced pitchers that would want to coach youthful pitchers what Duncan taught them.
