I have a name of a road and the post code but do not know what area of london it is. Is there a website that I can put in the post code and give me the area name?

the higher the number on the postcode the further outside the city you are eg M1 is manchester city centre and M30 is on the outskirts of manchester. you can also go to the RAC web page and they have an option to allow you to type the postcode and it will give you the exact location.

Go to Royal Mial, then their postcode finder. If you just put in the street name and house number(or a fake one0 it usually brings it all up

I use the RAC route planner at www.rac.co.uk

Put in your post code as 'from' and the unknown one as 'to'.

It's free and you can zoom in as much as you like.
