Where do they start, pitching, outfield... Mulder's trade value stinks now that his ERA has blown up and has shoulder problem... J Rodriguez, Miles, Taguchi, Molina dont produce consistantly and have no power... Reyes should get a starting spot soon, that will help... need to trade for a left fielder/2nd baseman I say...Im also tired of Edmonds, if he is not hurt he is killing a rally with a strikeout..Izzy better get his sh1t together too...Why is Timo Perez playing instead of Chris Duncan... This line up has no pop from the 5 spot down...

As a Chicago Cubs fan I can't say that I have much sympathy. All kidding aside, I think part of the issue is having players that have passed their peak. Examples being Edmonds, Marquis, Suppan, Isringhausen and Rolen. Tony is loyal to a fault, and this often leads him to sticking with guys who just aren't producing. And good luck trying to move these guys due to major salaries. Rolen's contract is $12.4 million, Edmonds $11.9 million, and Isringhausen $8.7 million.

With that being said, I don't think it's time to panic in St. Louis. The Cardinals are still the class of the NL Central. There is a lot of talent on that roster still. Carpenter is pitching very well and Pujols is healthy once again. With those 2 anchoring the team making the playoffs shouldn't be a concern.

Im a huge Chris Duncan fan. He should be starting in left field. We just gotta fix the bullpen and get rid of Izzy. I DESPISE HIM NOW! HE CANT SAVE A GAME TO SAVE HIS LIFE! The offense is fine, Rolen should be starting in the allstar game. David wright is good but next year for him. Also get anthony reyes to the starting rotation. WE NEED HIM!

the cardinals are in a demanding spot with this. With this kind of huge volume of gamers on the dl, they favor extra yet dont favor to signal too many because some will be coming back. today it appears that evidently like we favor placing out pitching, yet timber worker, mulder, and clement are all meant to go back off the dl quickly, so that is a risky deal. they'd pass for some infielders to make izturis's abence slightly extra efficient.

Welcome to National League Baseball. There's no pop from the 5 spot down.

Edmonds is old. That's what happens. Deal with it. Did you think he was going to bat .300 and hit 40 homers at age 38 now that they're testing for steroids?

Rolen's always been an overrated offensive player. You let Reggie Sanders walk away and didn't replace him. Renteria's gone, sheesh. Your team's been letting guys leave and not replacing them... and you're still in the hunt. So deal with it.

They appear to be in good shape for the national league (top 3 in the league), but you are right, there are a lot of holes to fill. When it comes time to play the big dogs, they are going to need more than they got. Someone needs to help pujols and carpenter.

1st you fire larussa and duncan, then you get the tight wads to go after some top notch talent instead of all these scrap heap players we have , you need a good hitting outfielder, seconmd base, and a couple pitchers , starter and a relief

Look if the cards need a quick fix, just schedule a couple of games against the cubs, they'll be in top shape in no time.
