Moskva ia a great city, that's for sure. There are a lot of interesting places in Moskva. There are a lot of museums, theaters, one can't be bored here. It's really good for vacation but so is St Petersburg, in St Petersburg the weather is not so hot in summer. Winter begins in late November, first snow can fall only in December, usually in winter the temperature is about -15C, but this winter it was -35C, but it's very beautiful in winter. In summer the temperature is 25-40C degrees.
Russians usually (traditionally) eat for breakfast porridge, for dinner it's soup - borshch, rassol'nik, then it's potato with meat or whatever you want, supper doesn't have any traditional meal. If you're in Moskva try pancakes (blins) and kvass, you won't be disappointed.
It's not dangerous to visit Moskva, if you're careful nothing will ever happened. And don't trust blindly eberything you hear on TV.

ok, yes, moskva (or moscow, as americans know) is the best place to visit but you should also visit st. petersburg. it is FREEZING in russia in the winter so i suggest going in the summer. winter is basically from October to March in Russia. Here are some things that I suggest you should try for food:

-breakfast: blini (russian pancakes) or oladi (apple dumplings)
-lunch: buterbrod (open-faced sandwich), caviar
-dinner: shashlik (shish kabob), beef stroganoff, borscht (beet soup)

I hope this helps!

Moscow is a great city! Worth visiting and go around! For a long time the city was the capital of the half of the world! Super places to visit and enjoy!
Sankt Petersburg is also a great place to visit and enjoy the white nights, something we (who leave far from the poles) have never experienced and could not even imagine! Exciting!

Very cold in Moscow. yes, it has winter....for almost 5 months .If you don't believe me , just ask any 2nd world war survivor, or see footage of it for yourself.... From my experience, Russians eat and drink Vodka, breakfast , lunch and dinner.....to eat it, i guess they freeze it ( and you know how hard it is to freeze Vodka) . I would not recommend Moscow as the BEST place in Russia to vacation......you need to go further west , and more south .....However , there are Moscows, in the USA, that would be more to my liking ...... Good luck........

You say you like that place and you don't know if it has winter! It snows there okay? If you want to know about their food...read about it...search for the info. You can even find out about temperature from the net!

Be careful, there are a lot of hate crimes committed in Russia -- if you have a darker tone on your skin, you could be a target. Please be careful.
