Where do you come from?
Travel is one thing in which half your time would get spent...The trains are mumbai are the fastest and very efficient (there is one train for every 3 mins)but don't forget the crowd...Unless you are a regular it will be very difficult to travel by train... There are two types of railway routes, The central railway and Western Railway.. The Mid-point is Dadar..Both the rail routes pass through Dadar Station.... Boarding a train at the right platform at that station might be a great ordeal for any newbie... You may not want to travel by trains during the peak hours as it would be terribly crowded and if you don't sync with the crowd you would get jammed between people.

Buses are a lot better in terms of crowd... It also depends upon the distance(route) you might want to travel...Roads are crowded and during peak hours, have some extra time when you leave your house to spend at traffic signals...Yes, you also have the A/C buses in some routes... They charge about 25-30 Rs. average between Santacruz- Worli... Very comfy

If you have a two-wheeler you will be a little saved 'coz you can squeeze through the array of cars on the roads... If you want to travel by car you might have a problem finding a proper parking..there is very little space in the city for car parking... You might find a number of "NO PARKING" boards and a very few places to park.. Don't leave your car in a area without a proper parking... You never know when the police is on trail.... You will end up coughing up a good sum to the cops...
Once i left the two-wheeler on the road(real corner, didn't cause any trouble to the passersby) and got onto the pavement to wear my raincoat as it suddenly started pouring down... I sudden;y saw two-men lifting my bike....Thanks to the flower vendor who alerted me...I had to pay up some money to the cops and the guys to let go of my vehicle..Atleast i was saved of the ordeal of searching for the police station instead of going to office....

If you are unfamiliar with any route, you can ask any taxi guys and they would definitely guide you well... or you can ask anyone on the road....
Autos ply only in the suburbs...Try to avoid taking taxis at the airport and railway stations...If you are found to be a newbie to the place, they will take you for a true ride...
DONT LET ANY EXTRA GUY TRAVEL WITH THE DRIVER,especially if you travel alone... They will try to cheat you...

Congested, Noisy, Stinks, Terrible drivers, Inconsiderate, Dirty, there must be some other virtues but right now I can not come up with anything that would be more descriptive than "horrible"
