The Motorcycle Safety Foundation is the gold standard of motorcycle training. They will not just teach you how to ride, they will teach you how to SURVIVE! Also, most insurance companies offer discounts to MSF graduates.
BTW, you are much better off getting professional instruction. It's never a wise idea to try to teach a family member how to drive or operate a motorcycle!

I would suggest checking with your local Concerned Bikers Association or Abate and findthe nearest Basic Riders course. they will properly instruct you in proper riding technique adn you will most likely get a certificate that will reduce your insurance costs as well as save you the headache of scheduling a road test which is usually given during the course. If your husband has never taken the course i would suggest he take it as well or take the experienced riders course to give him that extra boost in riding safety

Lady, you're just asking for all kinds of trouble! :) ... don't even THINK about getting between your hubby and his harley, doll. grab his wallet and go buy your own, the nice man at the store will surely give you a lesson or two....and get all the sexy black leather stuff while you're at it, it will take his mind way off the harley bill......

Don't mess with your old man's ride! Stay as far away as you can get from his bike. If you really want to learn to ride, take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course, then get your own bike.

Check the internet for a local motorcycle course. Your DMV website should direct you to the correct place.

The shop he bought it from should be able to put you in touch with someone. Check with any motorcycle shop, they should be able to tell you where to find a "safe riding class"

Learn to ride on a smaller bike, so that you can build your confidence, then make him buy you one of your own.
