Go to an auto wrecker, many cars had storage compartments below the stereo if the optional equalizer, or cd was not purchased. It is a little compartment that fits a stereo size hole perfectly. Try looking for a 1990's Mazda such as a Precidia, (MX3) without the cd player option ( cassette deck only), I've used one b4 and had great luck.

Give the dealership a call, they may be able to sell you a panel cover for the hole in your fairing. Or, be daring, and strip all the fairing parts off the bike and 'ride naked' lol
