First of all Britain are not playing in the world cup. There was 100 times more real trouble at the germany poland match check out the number of arrests. What happened with the ENGLAND fans was no more than any high street in the world on a friday night. So get a life we should not apologise

Only if it is the British Government that asked the losers (fans?) to go over and cause damage.
The problem is the growing tendency for people to use football as an excuse for gang violence. Not gangs in the East LA sense, but allowing behavior to be controlled/influenced by the crowd rather than ones' own standard of conduct.
What the government should do is to help locate and facilitate prosecution of individuals caught on camera doing damage.

yes, English fans cause problems no matter what country they're in. They did it in France '98, Korea 2002, Euro 2004 in Belgium and now Germany 2006. They're arrogant, obnoxious alcoholics with a massive inferiority complex because they haven't won a damn thing in 60 years while the rest of Europe wins (Germany, France, Italy). If I was a cop in Germany, I'd round up the fans and beat them to teach them a lesson on being humble.
