I just moved to Houston about a month ago. Where are some of the best places to shop at. (For clothes) I've been to the Galleria and I love it, but sometimes I want to go somewhere else other than a mall.

Try the Village Arcade, located in the heart of the Rice Village Shopping District.

The Rice Village Shopping District encompasses a twelve block shopping area whose history dates back to the late 1930's. Recognized as Houston's original shopping district, this area has remained an eclectic assortment of restaurants, galleries, well known retail stores, one-of-a-kind boutiques and professional and business services.

Because of its popularity and great location, the shopping center is occupied both by some of the nation's best retailers and by stores, restaurants and services unique to Houston.

Enjoy your day at The Village Arcade!

Meyerland Shopping Center off or 610 or Gulf Gate at 610 and I-45, but the malls are the best place to shop in Houston.

Willowbrook off of 249 (Northwest Side)
Katy Mills (Katy off of I-10)
First Colony Mall (Sugar Land)
Town & Country Mall (off of the Beltway)
West Oaks Mall (Hwy 6. and Westheimer)
Memorial City Mall (Gessner and I-10)

There's also a few places down Westheimer on the other side of 610 leaving the Galleria.

I live in Houston and I only go to malls really, but if you ever want a great deal on designer clothes and just an overall fun place to go spend a day... then go to Katy Mills mall in the NW area. Its off of I-10 in Katy. They have outlets of all kinds of brands... clothes, housewares, electronics... alot of neat resturaunts as well.
