my daughter is upset because she is not sure if she is normal because her period lasts about 7 days

depends on the person. everyone is different. can last from 3 to 10 ten days. she is perfectly normal.

Periods usually last longer while in your teen years, at least for me they did! I think it is absolutely normal for a period to last 7 days, I think the average is 3 to 7 or 3-10 days. Tell your daughter that everything is fine and that it will get better with time!

when i first had my period it was about 7 or 8 days to then as i had more periods it got less to about 4 or 5 days so its perfectally normal

7 days is fine, 12+ or more you're supposed to go see a doctor, but periods last different amounts of time for different people.

an average period for teens varies. it could be 2 to 14 days. longer than that is not healthy because you're losing a lot of blood.
tell her she's fine and that she is not at all alone. and that the amount of days for her is average.

7 days is ok, but if it lasts more than 12 you need to see a doctor

she's fine. I know it seems forever when you're that young, but it's normal. If she chooses to get on b/c, it can be reduced, even disappear. If she seems like she's bleeding too much, take her to the doctor to make sure that everything is okay.

mine used to last that long. i think they're only supposed to last 5 or 6 at the very most. then i went on the b/c pill and now they only las 3-4!
