First off, don't listen to that Big B guy... he is obviously some ignorant nut, thinking he can scare people into behaving in a way he finds appropriate, and he doesn't mind lying to accomplish this. Homosexual sex does not cause AIDS. A virus does. If neither person has the virus, neither person will suddenly get the virus just because the two people have sex. Big B, shame on you for spreading your lies here.

As to talking with your parents, the safest thing to do, if you think they would react badly, is to not tell them until you are out of the house and able to support yourself... whether that be after high school, after college, etc. That way, they can't do too much that would negatively impact your life, apart from in the emotional sense. (This is what I did.)

Hopefully, though, you have a good relationship with your parents, and can talk about this eventually. You might start out by testing the waters a little... mention a news story about Pride Week (which just ended) or something about gay people in the news, and see what sort of reaction you get. Ask them what they think about gay marriage... something like that. All without mentioning anything about yourself personally.

Then, if things look favorable, you can work into talking about yourself.

Good luck to you... I know this is a difficult time.

First of all, Big B, I just reported you for insulting me. Take your ignorance and narrow-mindedness somewhere else.

Secondly, to be honest, I haven't told my own parents I'm bisexual. I'm waiting until I'm in a position where they legally can't do anything to me. My suggestion is to wait until you turn 18.

Heterosexuals contract the HIV Virus just as easily as homosexuals. I hate ignorance.
Don't tell your parents until you are ready. Try just bringing up homosexuality/bisexuality, and see how they react. When you do tell them, do it gently. I wish you lots of luck.

Stop having sex with other men (if you're a guy) or women (if you're a gal). Why? Because of AIDS! homosexual activity will give you the AIDS virus, which leads to death. If you don't want to suffer horrible painful death from AIDS then stop now before you get it! AIDS is the most painful way to die!

AIDS is a killer!

well, i did nothing. pardon my wording, but i don think people care as much if your bi sexual than if you were gay. there still a chance you'll find the man of your dream and settle down and start a family. But if your you a black male whose bi, then ur on people try to label you as on the DL.

but it depends on how cool ur parents are.

I just answered your other question, first. I wouldn't recommend coming out at 12 - it'll upset you and your parents and they'll just convince themselves it's a phase you're going through.

I dont think that you should tell your parents, its really none of there buisness. Im bi, and my parents arent gonna ever know. Somethings are better left unknown.

Wouldnt it be easier if you picked a partner instead of screwing anything and everything? Why do people need to screw so much anyways?

Are your parents accepting of gays? If so, tell them. If not, you should probably keep it to yourself.
