I agree. Beckham is the best at taking freekicks. Two victories for England have been due to his freekics.

i'd say roberto carlos, did you see that free kick against france? the one that went all the way to the right and came back in clipped the post, the french keeper didn't even move.
beckhams a close second. he has a brilliant strike, but the movement on that roberto carlos shot just wows me again and again.
ronaldinho is my third. watch some of his kicks, great stuff
edit: I wanted to respond to the person below. There is a reason there is a wall and where the goalie lined up. On free kicks, it is the walls duty to protect the near post and the goalie protect the far post. Why? the wall is needed to ensure that the goalie does not get a free view on goal. And the goalie protects far post since you can't leave one side open. If the goalie stands behind the wall, not only is his vision blocked, but a free kick towrads the far post is not being impeded by the wall or has a goalie right there waiting.
Now that is not to say the Ecuador goalie was not too far to the far post. He was a touch. He got his hand on the ball coming back but couldn't get enough of it. But I think that he did a good job in general.

beckham is known for his free kicks because thats the only thing his good at, in the FiFa world cup he has made some very nice free kicks therefore i would say he is only of the best. but in a couple of years i would say Ali Karami from team Iran and Robinho from Team Brazil would become great corner kickers and freekickers

Beckham?....no way he just faces retarded goalkeepers that don't know where to go....like the Ecuador game...the goalie lines up on the whole left side of the goal..come on of course Beckham is gonna go near post...I'd like to see him face Gianluigi Buffon on a free kick ...
But I'd have to say Totti, Roberto Carlos or Pirlo because his perfect free kick to Girladino and that header he placed it right there.
