Depending on the number of people traveling, it could be either flying OR driving.
If you choose to fly, remember this: Las Vegas prices go up on the weekends. If you plan to be arriving or staying on Friday or Saturday, your rates will be almost double (for a hotel room) and considerably more for airfare. Consider traveling Monday - Thursday and see what the price difference is.

Hitch rides at truck stations!
Depends on what's more important to you - time or money. Since you looked up a flight, I'd say time?
Try standby if I'm wrong, and if you visit often, make sure you get players club cards at every place you play - depending on your play, you could get comps on this or your next trip to defray your costs.
I'ts hotter than snot here right now - 113 yesterday - so be prepared & remember to drink LOTS of water!!!
Good Luck, and I hope you enjoy your trip

Fly Delta through Atlanta -
I would drive to Atlanta and take a direct flight to Vegas and Back into Atlanta.
Then drive back home... cheaper and easiest way to go

May be the longest, and sound more expensive, but drive. Once gas prices get up to 5.00 a gallon, then you should fly.
