I can see where you would be frustrated considering that they are in that field and no nothing about the field they have chosen. You would think that they would've chosen something that they would be familiar with the basics. I guess that is like some people that think the only requirement to owning a car is to put gas in it, and drive. I guess we are doomed to live with the dumb ones, but that is have it goes.
Might be an opportunity to make some side $$$. Offer to those people to help tutor them on the side for a small fee of course, and see what they say. Never know, they might take you up on it.
In my industry, I have been known to make $100 in less than an hour for doing something as simple as hooking up an surround sound system.

Yes, in today's advanced tech. world. People should have at liest a basic understanding of computer useage. Lets puch it further, High School, Middle School, Elm. Schools students should know who to do basic comp. skills. Our world rely on computers every second, and if you can't use one, your stuck. Yes, Mandatory comptuer classes are a must.
