Your fish didn't blow up. It may have died from natural causes, or gotten into a fight with other fish. It is an unfortunate fact that fish are canibalistic. So, whatever killed him, the other fish came in to clean up, and its always the soft tissues that get eaten first.

it wasnt due to overfeeding and it didnt blow up--it was either dead and another fish ate the stomach out like the one answer says or you have a loach or algae eater that isnt getting enough food and they will attack and they do go for the belly. More than likely, it is that it was eaten by the other fish

It probably has a swim bladder disorder or a tumor. Watch for signs of swelling in your other fish, if you see any, buy some parisite treatment and quarantine the sick fish....parisites can spread

not sure, thats strange????? maybe it had too much pressure on its stomach, to where it couldnt handle anymore, smaller fish tend to do that, i have to feed mine every 2days, cuz theyre so small they dont digest as easy as the bigger fish do

it did not blow up, when it died the other fish would have eaten its stomach, i know it sounds gross but i see it all the time (i work at a pet store)
