Why do we assume the worst of each other?

Not all person do ... When I first meet someone I assume they are angels..... and I suffer for that assumption later. I now think it is better for you to assume the worst about them and gradually change as you get to know the person . This is safer and it puts you on guard

I NEVER do. In fact, people tell me I assume the best TOO much! My bf, however, ALWAYS assumes the worst! Probably because he's had so many bad experiences.

back in the old days!
we did not have that much to worry about.
the playing field was level, so on!
later! people have become so easily swayed by others!
things have gotten so out of hand!
we no longer trust each other.
it's the life & times! day & age we live in!
people depend on the other to their thinking for them!
we believe what we see on t.v.!
so many things influence us!
we cannot think on our own!
concider your self lucky!

We have become hardened to the ways of the world. In order to survive we must suspect and defend and attack and watch our backs at all times!! Does that answer your question?
