the other i was sat with people who im friendly with, i would say friends...
however one of them started slagging off one of my old best m8s, we are still friends but she now hangs round with the people who i was sat with.
the girl started been REALLY horrible about her, and saying that they were all pretending to be her friend, using her, and that my friend followed them around and out of respect to my old friend i told her i felt she deserved to know what was been said behind her back. she was upset but seemed glad that id told her. she then talked to her friends, and they said it was all lies, and that the lass had been talking crap! so my old friend had a go at me saying i was a **** stirer and jealous of her new friends. can you plase help me and tell me what i should have done, and what i should do now!

I wonder if this thing was all started to cause trouble between you and your old friend. Girl groups at school just LOVE to stir things up. You said what you said with the best of intentions, but sadly it's backfired. I'm sure you've still got her phone number and address, so why not ask if she's prepared to meet you to talk about it? Apologise for the upset you caused (of course emphasising that it was not with bad intentions). A good idea would be for you to meet somewhere that you'd have no chance of running into these "friends" of hers. They sound like nasty pieces of work. I hope it all goes well for you :-)

YOU DID THE RIGHT THING!!!! These girls are really nasty pieces of work. Its not nice to discover several years down the line that one of your "friends" can't stand and slags you off behind your back. Trust me I've been the victim and would prefer to know. The new 'friends' have done the classic thing to defend themselves, you need to get some proof and also your friend is in denial.

They're all two faced backstabbers, ditch them all!

Good luck!

I BELIEVE IN COMMUNICATION. SOLVING PROBLEMS THE OLD FASHION WAY BY TALKING NOT YELLING. I DO NOT HOW OLD YOU ARE. IF YOU ARE YOUNG WHAT PEOPLE SAY SHOULD NOT BOTHER YOU. YOU KNOW THE TRUTH AND SHE WILL TOO ONE DAY. WHEN YOU ARE OLDER YOU WILL REALIZE THAT PEOPLE SAY BAD THINGS ABOUT OTHER'S ALL THE TIME. IGNORE IT. IT IS GIVING SOMEONE ELSE A BREAK. IT ISN'T GOING TO MATTER WHAT THEY'VE SAID 10 YEARS FROM NOW. YOU WILL STILL HAVE MATURED. SLINGING WORDS BACK AND FORTH NEEDS TO STOP. WHAT BETTER WAY FOR IT TO STOP THAN FOR IT TO STOP WITH YOU. BE A FRIEND TO EVERYONE GET TO KNOW THE ONES YOU CAN AND CAN NOT TRUST. YOU WILL EVIDENTALLY LEARN HOW OUR WORLD IS. LOVE THOSE THAT ARE UNLOVEABLE AND YOU WILL BE REWARDED WITH GREAT FRIENDS

To be honest, I'd get out of that little circle of friends right now. Back-stabbers, liars, two-faced and ungrateful. Go out and make some REAL friends!
