In fact, I give more than I can "afford" at times. As a Christian, this is what we're called to do.

But I give this gladly, and freely. God has blessed me in many ways that I can never repay with money or service. But I do what I can.

I would give a dollar to an organization who feeds the pour and does counseling. People on the street, NO. Usually that goes for drugs.

Depends, a random stranger on the street who looks like he might drink it no, but if someone passing by on a subway bus or even in a public place sure, I've been in a situation many times myself (loss of wallet ,dollar short, that type of thing) where a dollar would have been appreciated.

A charity, yes. I donate monthly. A man on the street, no. I'd buy him lunch anytime, but I would not hand over money. You never know how they're going to use it.

Only if I had money to spare. I guess it would also depend on what they need it for.

I regularly donate change to charities when I can spare it.

But, if I don't have change to spare, I'm not going to put myself in a tight spot to help out a stranger.

yes, i would. no matter how they were going to use it. mike tyson would give 100 dollar bills to homeless people in brownsville new york and his friends would ask them why if all they were going to use it was on drugs or alchohol and he replied "who am i or you to judge them, there is only one who can judge them, and they will be judged in the afterlife."
