Looking forward to the showdown with my Mets. Two real powerhouses.
I have a friend from Minnisota who always says that Ortiz is the least clutch hitter in Twins history, and never got a big hit for them. He's really bitter about it.

It just seems like when the game is tied in the bottom of the 9th,Papi is always up at bat and always gets that clutch hit.

Certainly with all of the Red Sox 'firepower' they have the ability to score runs in bunches. The lineup is potent with very good offensive players. I would definitely say getting a comfortable lead is a necessity for any team wishing to beat them.

As long as the one dimensional Big Papi has a bat in his hand, there is always a chance for the Red Sox.

You need two things,
a huge 9th inning lead,
and a way to keep david Ortiz from batting in the 9th.
especially with 2 outs and a man or two on base.

No, they're just getting lucky. Start to play some real teams and see if it holds up.
We'll see on July 7 when they get to come to Chicago to get their asses handed to them by the White Sox.
