Short answer - yes.
Long answer - Costinha has always been a liabilty for Portugal - look at his play in the finals at Euro 2002. Deco WILL be missed. But Portugal's linup has enough depth to take out England's best. Look...Portugal literally beat a team that would have obviously crushed England, in Netherlands.

Portugal played with a 2cnd rate lineup against Mexico & won, I beleive that missing two Key players, makes them that much more dangerous, Watch for them in the Semis, They will have a full lineup, The Match against Holland was not pretty, It showed the hunger of the Portuguesse. If they beat England ... Then look for them to win the World Cup!

i think portugal have a very good chance. they just have to stay away from any penalty kicks because once beckham goes for the goal in a penalty, there's a 99% chance he'll get it.
Yeah they're missing two good players, but they also have other good players and we've already seen that the team can play and win without 5 of the best, so who says they cant do it again?

I don't know, with Deco out and a lot of their players battered in the last game againt the Nehterlands. I'm hoping Portugal wins, but they will have to pull a rabbit out of the hat. England hasn't had any blow-out games, but they have not lost any game and they are pretty solid as a team. It will be an interesting game. Go Portu-GOL!!!!!! :)

Yeah they won wothout deco in their first match didnt they? Costinha can easily be replaced! Ronaldo is fit to get back to intense training by wednesday. and dont 4get all the other players like simao, petit, pauleta, maniche, miguel and luckily figo. Portugal have beaten england once and will do it again (remember euro 2004?)

Portugal will deffinetly win. Christiano Ronaldo is gunna chew Beckham up and he'll get taken out and then England won't be able to score.

Portugal would not beat the 3 lions with a full squad against our reserves. At least it is not too far to go home to lisbon

Yeah..Deco and Costinha are very well-needed by portugal but England is not a very good team that can`t be beaten by any team..

Scolari's decision to test the bench-strength in the match against Mexico will certainly help him pick a team to minimise the loss of Deco and Constinha. My pick: Petit/Tiago and Simao Sabrosa. Simao will play in Figo's left wing and Figo will take Deco's central position - just like he did against Angola.
