Ethics are extremely important in business, yes they are quite boring to study, but will keep your business legal, and socially responsible.

Ethics=rules of behavior.
Business ethics=rules of behavior in business.
Without rules, we'd do things in our favor that might hurt other people, for example: not pay an employee, sell a faulty product, shortchange people, fire people without reason, deny people unemployment insurance, lie, cheat, steal to make money, make unwarranted deductions from salaries, and so on. You get the picture.
