Conservatives think the same way and wonder why the libertals argue against it.
Everyone wants peace, but there are vast differences as to how to accomplish it. Liberals believe the terrorist can be reasoned with. Conservatives believe the terrorist just want us dead.
Everyone wants equality. Liberals appear to want more affirmative action and conservatives want no preferencial treatment for anyone.
Everyone want freedom. We are truly lucky in this nation to enjoy the freedoms that we do. That is why the terrorist hate us so much. The odd thing is, the terrorist would put a halt to liberalism first.
Everyone wants Economic prosperity. We all have a right to support our families, or grow our wallet. We don't have a right to expect that the government owes us that prosperity. The successful businesses do the hiring and pay wages and benefits. When the business are no longer profitable guess who gets hit. So again we want the same thing, but the way we get there seems to be different.

Because its simply not true. Lets start with equality. Liberals support Affirmative Action even though other races have reached the HIGHEST places in this country. Affirmative Action was a GOOD thing when other races were being help down, now its simply racial prefence. Freedom? This is strange, when THOUSANDS of ILLEGAL aliens were pouring out in the streets if ONE person stated an opinion that went against the liberal doctrine, theyre called RACIST and XENOPHOBES. Liberals have some good ideas, unfortunately they just do not work when you have a constitutional republic like we do. Liberals have time and again proven they are domestic enemies of the Consititution. THATS where I as a Libertarian get MY basis for my arguments....and you should too if you call yourself an American.

I'm not going to give you superfluous fluff backed by abstract ideology. I'm going to give you hard cold facts.

Liberals believe in peace - that's why liberals have caused the slaughter of 10's of millions of people world wide with their inclination to go to war. (WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam)

Equality - That's why right now in congress, liberals are opposing the changes Republicans are pushing in the renewal of the Voting Rights Act which would require all 50 states be include instead of the original 9.

Freedom - only as long as you agree with them in lock step like a Nazi

Economic prosperity - Yeah, think god for the internet because as soon as the dot coms tanked, Clinton's "boom" went right into a recession.

How can u argue against that? - I think I just did.

Both sides stand for good things. We need to stop fighting with each other and start fighting this government. Most American want whats best for this country; however our government has a different function which is to make money and stay on top of the world. Americans are good people with different ideas on how this country should be run. It is our political leaders that are the one who are the ones we should be fighting with. Look at what has happened to our country as a result of our leaders, Dems and Rep are both to blame. It feels like high school and it feels like our country is being run by high school students. The time will come when American will unite because we cant keep up at this pace of destruction to our liberties, the people will stand up when they cant take it anymore. That's what will change America it always does.

Are you severe? Switzerland is an instantaneous democracy, no longer a constitutional republic like the U. S.. Hong Kong is managed by China and hence communist, no longer capitalists. Singapore back is extra of direct democracy. Plus the inhabitants of all 3 mixed does no longer even come on the point of the U. S.. Nor would the mixed land mass of the three equivalent the U. S.. so that you want to analyze 3 small international locations with diverse political makeup, diverse demographics, diverse elements and organic skill, and say the U. S. might want to change into extra like them? per chance in utopian society which will be accessible. yet contained in the real international? not in any respect.

Because we have different definitions of peace, equality, freedom, and economic prosperity.

In order to have peace, you must be willing to have war when someone threatens your peace.

My definition of equality is not quotas of X amount of blacks, X amount of women, etc. True equality is the best person for the job regardless of race, color, sexual orientation, etc. Equality also means that if you can have a United ***** College Fund, I should be allowed to set up a United Anglo College Fund. But that would be racist by liberal standards, wouldn't it?

Freedom - I believe that freedom comes with a price, and you must take responsibility for your freedom. For example, you are free to say whatever you want, but others are free to criticize. Liberals want to spout their opinions, but, if anyone dares to tell them they're wrong, it's hate speech. How can the people who invented "hate speech" say that they're for freedom???

And conservatives are for economic prosperity for those who EARN it. We don't believe in handing out money to people who choose to do nothing productive with their lives. If you want prosperity, you must work for it. Sure, some people inherit it and they don't work a real day in their lives, but their ancestors earned the money. Should your parents' estate be distributed to you and your siblings or to people who have less than you do?

Conservatives only believe in peace when the pockets of the major corporations and big oil companies that fund the Republican Party are being lined. Conservatives don't believe in equality if it applies to women, minorities, and gays. Conservatives don't believe in freedom if it applies to people who don't think like they do. And conservatives believe in economic prosperity as long as they have it and they don't have to help others achieve it.

I just don't get why the caring liberals could look away when Saddam was having peoples tongues cut out, fingers cut off.... I saw a film of people being blindfolded and thrown 20 feet onto the pavement in Iraq. I don't like to fight, but if someone starts punching me in the face and won't stop I GOTTA DO SOMETHING. 8 years of Clinton overlooking terrorists caught up to us.

There is not argument against that. The argument, and your falacy, is in believing that liberals trully support those ideals. Don't be such a mindless cheerleader. Be a critical thinker and your life will be much better off.

It is easy, what you explain here is against the basic rule of captalism specially the wild-west one promoted by the ultra conservatives. It prevents the freedom of stealing, rubbing, cheating and destruction of natural resources, so it is basicly an idea to promote dictatorship and prevent "freedom" :)
