ANY study can be called a "science". However due to the IMMENSE complexities in the brain, this is far from an EXACT science. But from my experiences (bipolar disorder) I can say YES it is. I at one point was a complete MESS, now thanks to a good mixture of medications and counseling with good people, Im much better.

Yes I think it is but obviously it depends on your definition of science. There is a lot of mathematics involved (not just statistics) and a lot of testing involved and questions raised as others are answered.
The oxford dictionary definition is • noun 1 the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment. 2 a systematically organized body of knowledge on any subject.
If you include humans to the physical and natural world - it is a study of the structure and behaviour of humans. Therefore yes - a science.

Psychology consists of many theories that are proven as far as they can be proven. Anything dealing with emotions and mental health cannot be considered an exact science because of all of the possible variables involved.
