The chances of you having twins is related to how many twins there are on the female's side of the family. If you have no twin uncles, twin cousins, etc., its going to be tougher for you to have twins.
In vitro fertilization and fertility drugs dramatically raise the chances of having twins, unfortunately, they also dramatically raise the chances of having triplets, quads, etc. Everyones heard the stories of some couple taking fertility drugs, and now they have octuplets or something.
If you conceive a happy, healthy SINGULAR baby, count your blessings and love your child. Trying to jury-rig your reproductive organs could have tragically unexpected consequences.

Giving birth to twins is usually more hereditery than anything, not unless you go to a doctor and have a seperate egg inserted into your uterus. I would check up on the situation and do research first. Maybe even call your doctor and set up an appt. and have her/him talk things over with you and maybe they can find a solution or at least tell you if you can have twins or not. Some rare cases I have seen women give birth to multiple babies and not be hereditery. I'm not sure how that works.

There was a recent study published in which the researchers found that consuming large amounts of dairy increased a woman's chances of having twins. You'd have to google it to find out specifics such as how much dairy was needed to see a significant increase and what the rate of twin conception was in the high dairy consumption group. I'd highly doubt that it's significant enough to send you to the grocery to stock up on milk, though.
If you're over 35 and/or fraternal twins run in your family, your chances are a little better than average.

It is impossible to plan to have twins. Medically-assisted conception has a higher chance of twins, but even that isn't guaranteed (and a reputable doctor won't treat a fertile woman--*and* the chances of conceiving at all are lower).
Other than that, the only way to increase your chances are to pick better ancestors. If there are fraternal twins in *your* family (not in the father's), your chances are higher, but even then, it's only about 1 in 22.

Over the last 15 years of marriage my wife has had four surgeries to try to conceive.
The last surgery ended up with her having to have her tubes removed.
We have learned to live with the fact that other couples may share our identical situation. If so, then there are only two options.....
....... Invertro or adoption. ......
However, the way we choose to view it is
perhaps there is a child out there with a particular DNA structure that (in order to be president of the United States)
needs the direction and environment that my wife and I may be able to foster.
... We both wish you the best of luck.

I thought there were fertility drugs for that kind of thing. Maybe if you find a really open minded obstetrician, he/she could prescribe you some. But those are usually for women who are having trouble getting pregnant, and I've heard those things are powerful. Like you may just want twins, but you may get sextuplets!!!!

It's not possible unless more then 1 fertilized egg is transplanted by a doctor. What I'm saying is that you cant do it at home.
